Our Crest & What It Means
The club was founded on 1 June 2012 as West of St Julians FC — a merger of the St Julians Saturday team and the West of England Sunday team. In 2018 we rebranded as Newport Saints FC, keeping the proud “Saints” identity that reflects our roots in the St Julians community of Newport.
Our crest (in the club colours of gold and black) symbolises unity, community spirit and the journey from local district football to the Gwent County League Premier Division. The gold represents excellence and ambition; the black stands for strength and determination.
Every time you see the Saints badge, it represents more than a logo — it represents a family club that has grown from two local teams into a multi-team organisation offering football from age 6 to seniors.
